Troubleshooting the Most Common Issues of Galaxy Note

Troubleshooting the Most Common Issues of Galaxy Note

Nowadays, gadgets are not considered a luxury anymore but a necessity. It’s not only the younger generation and young professionals who are rooting for the latest and hottest gadgets, but also our grandma’s and grandpa’s. Everyone wants to be “in.” The Top Gadgets widely used by almost everyone, unless you’re from Pluto are tablets and smartphones.

If you know what's “in,” then you probably heard the term "smartphone" being used a lot. Have you ever wondered what exactly a “smartphone” is? Well, you're not alone. How is a smartphone different from a cell phone? What makes it so smart? A smartphone is a device that not only lets you make phone calls, but also adds in features such as Internet access, text messaging, e-mail, Web browsing, still and video cameras, MP3 and applications for creating, editing and viewing of files or documents. The two leading companies that are competing in this line are Apple with iPhone and Samsung with their Galaxy Note.

In this post, I will inform you about the Samsung Galaxy Note, its quirks and how-to guides, and some of the stuff you may encounter with it and how to get around them.

Galaxy Note gives you a better experience for work and play that comes with better design and advanced application that are best fit for your needs. However, though these devices were designed by probably the finest brains, they are far from perfect. You will encounter some teeny-weeny problems with these babies.

Drum roll. And here’s my queue to give you some of these so-called problems and their work-around, if not fix:

Wireless signal – One of the most common problems that we encounter with tablets specifically for the galaxy tab is wireless signal issues. We may eliminate these issues by providing the right solution with the problem. Now with wireless signal issue, you can change channel on the router, recommended channels for North America are 3, 6, 9 and 11 but you can use other available channels. Another is eliminating/minimizing interference like bodies of water, thick walls, and other wireless devices that may interfere with the wireless signal.

Network Connections – Another common problem is unable to connect to the wireless network. To fix this, you just need to make sure that you have the right wireless settings of the network you want to connect to such as network name, security type, and password/network key. If you were able to connect before with the same network, you can remove and add the network again or turn off and on Wi-Fi, these simple steps are usually neglected. Some devices are unable to connect to the same network because of the updates done on the router.

Security issues –If your Galaxy tab keeps on asking you to enter the correct network key even if you have already entered the correct one, try changing the security type of the router. Galaxy tabs are embedded with the N wireless adapter that connects to WPA - WPA2 - TKIP/AES security type. So if you encounter a problem in connecting to the wireless network, check if the wireless security mode of your router is set to WPA or Higher. Aside from maximizing the capability of you router, the connection with the N router is much faster than G network.

Email Settings – The problem with emails is not having any idea what to input for the email settings. The important thing that you need to consider in setting up an email account is the protocol you need to use (POP and IMAP are commonly used), incoming and outgoing servers, and port number. If you have all these information, you can properly set up your email settings on the Galaxy Tab. POP3 are public domains such Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo!, while the IMAP is used by company emails (private).

So these are the common issues encountered in Galaxy Notes and some solutions that may help you overcome these types of problems.
