Reasons Why These Smartphones are Great for Business This 2015

Regardless of your needs -- a big display, stylus support, or just something that's affordable, there's one smartphone that will definitely suit your preference. If you're on a hunt of that "perfect" business smartphone, we'll do the honors of presenting you a list of great smartphone models and the reason why they are perfect candidates.

Samsung Galaxy S6
Samsung's Galaxy S6 deserves the title to be the best overall business phone this year, edging out its last year's model -- the S5. It's the fastest smartphone on the market, with a brilliant display, and a premium glass-and-metal design. But the main reason why it's considered to be a great business phone are its productivity-boosting features like split-screen multitasking and S Finder, helping you to locate files and folders kept on your phone's internal storage easily. Also added in this newest model is a better fingerprint reader to enhance the phone's security, which now makes it as reliable as Apple's Touch ID scanner for the iPhone 6. Lastly, Samsung's Knox security suite separates work and personal apps to keep your business information confidential.
Key features:
  • Fast performance
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • Split-screen multitasking
  • Long battery life
  • Samsung Knox
iPhone 6 Plus
iPhone 6 Plus is perfect for business people who loves the iOS operating system. It features a big, 5.5-inch display that dwarfs the smaller and cramped, 4-inch screen on other models (that includes its own standard iPhone 6). Larger displays can be good for business users, since it will provide spacious area for screen-intensive tasks such as viewing and editing large documents. The iPhone 6 Plus offers lightning-speed performance and great selection of business apps on the App Store. The Touch ID fingerprint scanner integrated in the home button is a superb add-on, especially for security-minded business users. Also, it has longer battery life than other iPhone models.
Key features:
  • Fast performance
  • Large display
  • Thin and light design
  • Long battery life
  • Fingerprint reader
  • iOS 8 operating system.
Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen)
Are you looking for a pure Android experience in your business phone but without the extra clutter? Then the Motorola Moto X 2nd Generation smartphone might be the solution for you. This 5.2-inch phone is packed with some productivity-boosting extras, which you can hardly see in other phones. These includes always-listening voice commands, which allows you to save a note, set a reminder, or add a calendar appointment without even touching your device. The Moto Display feature lets you view and respond to alerts straight from the lock screen. Compared to other flagship phones, the Moto X is quite affordable at $99 with a two-year contract.
Key features:
  • Fast performance
  • Thin and light design
  • Touchless controls
  • Stock Android
  • Long battery life
Huawei Ascend Mate 2
If you need a business phone that is guaranteed to last for longer periods of time, Huawei's Ascend Mate 2 is the one. This smartphone has been tested to last surprisingly for a total of 15 hours. Although, be warned because this is quite a bulky type. Its huge 6.1-inch display makes it one of the biggest smartphones ever. Well, the good side of having a bigger screen is that you get to have a lot of screen space to work on. The Ascend Mate 2 is also a good and affordable buy; you can get it for under $300, and you don't need to sign an expensive two-year agreement through a major wireless carrier.
Key features:
  • Large display
  • Long battery life
  • Expandable storage
Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen)
Getting a business phone doesn't mean you have to spend a lot. Take the second-generation Moto G smartphone, for example. This phone offers a 5-inch display, fast performance, and lasting battery life. Also, it provides users a pure Android experience, meaning there's no useless extras included. The phone is absolutely affordable -- you can get one for under $200 off-contract; no need to sign a costly two-year contract. Even though it has some lacking features when compared to its premium counterpart -- the Moto X, the Moto G model is still considered a competitive one.
Key features:
  • Faster performance
  • Long battery life
  • Stock Android
  • Affordable price

5 Android Apps That Can Be Used as Alternative for Your Broken Home Button

These days, there is an increasing number of Android phones being manufactured without physical home buttons, although Samsung devices still do. And being the best-selling Android manufacturer, imagine how many millions of such buttons are still getting into the hands of its consumers. And one of the most common problems Android users encounter is a broken home button. If this happens to you, this may feel like the end of the world for you and your phone since you use this particular button most of the time.

So how do you deal with a broken home button? Luckily, it's not the end of the world...yet. Here are some Android apps that you can use to actually replace the function of your ailing home button. Each app on this list has a different approach, but all of them offer a single goal of taking you back to your phone's home screen without having to press a physical button.

Swipe Home Button

The Swipe Home Button app includes several gestures that you can perform by swiping from the bottom of your screen. These gestures can be customized to do a variety of tasks, which includes going back to the home screen, showing recent apps, skipping tracks in your music player, or opening certain apps. You can download the app from Google Play store for free.

Multi-action Home Button

Multi-action Home Button is an app designed specifically for phones that don't have virtual home buttons. All you have to do is tap the bottom center of the screen in order to activate the home button or perform other actions. One little thing you may not want about this app -- it inserts an item in the notification drawer that does nothing other than remind you that the app is running. But if you don't mind the extra clutter, this app does the job for you.

This is another free app that you can get anytime from Google Play.

My Home Button

What the My Home Button app does is it places a permanent bar in your notification drawer that can bump you out to your homescreen whenever you like. It's pretty tucked out of the way unlike a floating home button, but it also doesn't block any of your on-screen content either. It has an expandable nature in case you want to create buttons for opening recent apps or expanding notifications as well. Be warned that installing the app can add extra clutter to your notification drawer, which you may not want to deal with. Other than that, My Home Button is a pretty good app to go with if you're tired of your broken home button.

Button Savior

Button Savior works by sticking a little dock on the side of the screen that disappears behind a small transparent toggle when it's not in use. If you tap that arrow, it pulls the dock back out, displaying icons for performing various tasks. The Button Savior app can be customized, which means you can change the icons on the dock, which side of the screen everything resides on, and the order in which everything appears.
This app is also free from the Google Play store.

Easy Touch

Easy Touch is an app that adds an icon, which floats on top of your other apps. Whenever you tap the floating icon, you have other options aside from returning to the home screen -- you also have the option to lock the phone, toggle settings, or access your favorite apps.

And what's another good thing about using this app is that it's totally free.

These apps can help you continue to use your beloved phone, even if it's home button is already broken. And even if your home button is completely working, you can still use any of these apps if you would like to give your physical home button a rest or make up for the lack of a virtual button that you wish you had. Alternatively, these apps serve as a great alternative if you're tired of reaching the far end of your phone just to return home.

Hidden IOS Tricks That Will Make Your Phone Feel New Again

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have created a lot of buzz since the announcement made last September 9, and that includes Apple's record breaking 4 million pre-orders within 24-hours. These new flagship handsets are now available to select countries and as expected, they are flying off the shelves. But, if you are one of the unfortunate individuals who at this point in time, can't get hold of these handsets, do not fret. You can install the latest iOS on your iPhone and make it feel new again.

Apple's iOS 8 is packed with a lot of amazing features all iOS fans will surely love. Apart from the many features that were advertised, such as third-party keyboard support, Health app, and iCloud Drive, there are hefty hidden features that you probably haven't heard or discovered yet.

Here are some of the hidden iOS 8 tricks and features that will make your phone feel new again:

Hidden iOS 8 Tricks That Will Make Your iPhone Feel New Again

1. Credit Card Scanning Within Safari
In iOS 8, you can use the Camera app to scan your credit card when shopping online from your Safari browser. There's no need to manually type your credit card number. Instead, scan your credit card using your iPhone camera, and it will automatically pull up the card number and paste them into the correct field to make checkout hassle free.

2. Hide Photos and Videos from the Photos App
With iOS 8, you can hide individual photos and videos from the Moments, Collections, and Years view in the Photos app. Simply tap and hold the photo or video, and then tap Hide from the pop-up. The photo will not be seen in the Moments, Collections, and Years albums, but can be viewed in the album named Hidden.

3. Quickly Access Your Favorite Contacts
You can quickly access your Favorite contacts by simply pressing the Home button twice. This cool feature will allow you to call or message your family and friends much faster.

4. Recover Accidentally Deleted Photos
Have you ever deleted a photo by accident? For sure this is not an uncommon occurrence. The problem with previous iOS, once a photo or video is deleted, there is no way to recover it unless you have created a backup. With iOS 8, you can now recover accidentally deleted photos.

In iOS 8, all deleted photos from the Photos app will go directly to the Recently Deleted album. When you open this album, it will display all deleted photos including the days each photo has until it is permanently deleted. To retrieve the photos, simply select them and tap Recover.

5. Grayscale Mode
iOS 8 features a new grayscale mode for those who aren't fans of color. To enable this setting, simply go to Settings > General > Accessibility. From there, toggle Grayscale to turn your screen to black and white.

6. Identify the Apps Using the Most Battery Life
iOS 8 has a new Battery Usage panel that allows you to view the battery usage of each app in used. It can monitor how much battery each app use, so you can close the apps that draw a lot of power when you aren't using them. To access the Battery Usage panel, just go to Settings > General > Usage > Battery Usage. This will show you a list of all the apps draining your battery life.

7. Add Photos, Videos, and Animated GIFs to Notes
The Notes app in iOS 8 now supports rich texts, photos, and videos. It even supports animated GIFs for more fun notes. To add an animated GIF, just copy and paste a GIF or select photos from the Photo library to insert as animated GIF. Also, if you want to add a photo to a note, simply tap and hold the screen until the floating menu appears, then tap Insert Photo, and then select a photo from your Photo library.

8. Display 9-Day Weather Forecast
With iOS 8's Weather app, you can get a 9-day weather forecast, including sunrise, sunset, and UV index. You can even get an hourly forecast for a full 24 hours instead of the usual 12. You will also receive a short description of what's to come without having to go to the Notification Center.

9. New Zoom
The zoom option found in the Accessibility settings has been improved in iOS. You can now increase or decrease the size of the magnifier as well as toggle its settings. Simply drag the walls of the magnifier lens and set the order of Magnification according to your needs.

10. Automatically Delete Text and Picture Messages
One way to speed up your iPhone is by deleting old messages. In iOS 8, there is an option to control how long text and picture messages are stored on your phone. Simply go to your Messages app, and then tap Store Messages. From there, you can set your iPhone to automatically delete messages after 30 days or 1 year. If you do not want to automatically delete your old messages, you can leave the Forever option checked.

Introducing iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

The long wait is finally over. After months of speculation, Apple has finally announced its new smartphone flagship in two versions — iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus feature the second largest design overhaul. Dropping the sharp edges in favor of the more rounded and slimmer profile, which is made possible with the thinnest display used in any iPhone yet; making iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, one of the thinnest smartphones in the market.

The eighth generation iPhone is designed with a cover glass that curves to meet the anodized aluminum enclosure. Part of the design overhaul is the new placement for the Sleep/Wake or On/Off button from the phone's top edge to its right side panel.

The innovative and seamless design resulted to a smooth, continuous form. And as expected from any Apple product, it has maintained its sleek and sophisticated look.

iPhone 6 features a 4.7-inch Retina display that delivers 326 ppi pixel density with 1334 x 750 screen resolution, while iPhone 6 Plus sports a 5.5-inch Retina display and 401 ppi pixel density with 1920 x 1080 screen resolution. Both iPhones run on a 64-bit dual-core A8 processor with an M8 co-processor, which promises to have up to 84x faster GPU and 50x faster CPU than the original iPhone. The A8 chip is 50% more energy efficient than A7 and it can sustain higher performance, resulting to a better performance and battery life than its predecessors.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus include an 8-megapixel iSight camera with optical image stabilization and a true-tone LED flash. Not only that, both iPhones have an NFC chip that enables mobile payments through Apple Pay.
